At Bench Kitchen we go thru a lot of chicken. Our chicken club is probably the most popular sandwich on the menu. I like to order whole chickens so that we can fully utilize the bird. The breasts are used for sandwiches. The bones are used for stock. The thighs are used in various preparations for our ever changing prepared meal menu. The chicken drums are used to fortify the chicken stock and then get picked down for soup meat. That leaves us with a whack of wings to do something with. We mix up the flavour of the chicken wings we sell but hands down my favourite is when we toss the wings in our Grimsby Smoke Rub, give them a quick smoke and finish them in the oven. Try this rub on your next batch of chicken wings. If you don’t have a smoker don’t worry – the rub provides more than enough smoky flavour and are awesome as is.
Oven Baked Grimsby Smoke Chicken Wings
- 454 g Chicken Wings Raw
- 50 g Grimsby Smoke Rub
- Preheat oven to 350 degree
- Toss Raw Chicken Wings in Spice Blend
- Evenly spread out the wings on a baking sheet and cook for 10 minutes and then give them a stir
- Cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until the wings are fully cooked
